About

This study programme aims to enable professionals to understand the theory and practice of regional governance, to analyse and evaluate in depth information related to regional governance, and to deal with public policy issues related to the regions in a sustainable, effective and democratic manner.

KU study programmes are designed to provide the necessary knowledge, practical and professional skills for public administration professionals to be able to solve global challenges either locally or worldwide.

The main modules in the curriculum include Regional Development; Innovation in Organizational Leadership; Participatory Governance in the Region; Sustainable Development for Organisations; and the Evaluation of Regional Programmes.

KU students are involved in research activities primarily during the study process. Case studies might include the Klaipeda Region’s ‘Smart Specialisation Strategy’ – currently the only one of its kind in Lithuania - as well as relevant good practice examples of sustainable development of organisations, and participatory governance in regions.
