KU Leaders at the International Conference “Women in Science”

On February 11–12, an international conference titled “Women in Science” is taking place in Vilnius at Mykolas Romeris University, focusing on inclusive and responsible academic engagement of women. The date of the event was chosen deliberately, as February 11 marks the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The conference has brought together researchers, representatives of educational institutions, and policymakers to share experiences and seek effective solutions for enhancing the inclusion of women in science.

The conference addresses strategic issues related to women’s participation in science, career opportunities, and leadership. It aims to highlight long-term factors influencing women’s involvement in research and decision-making.

Prof. Dr. Laura Šaltytė-Vaisiauskė, and Vice-Rector for Infrastructure and Development Dr. Benediktas Petrauskas. During the discussion “Rectors’ Perspective on the Position of Women in the Academic Community,” held as part of the “Women in Science” event, Prof. Dr. A. Razbadauskas presented the role of institutions in creating an equal opportunities environment and promoting women’s careers in science.
