1 Publication Adaptive indoor electric power supplyconference paper; ; ; ; II. European Workshop on Renewable Energy Systems [Elektroninis išteklius] : workshop & conference proceedings (abstracts & papers) : 20-29 September, 2013, Antalya, TurkeyDue to rising value of energy supplies and emissions of electrical components, the need for managing electrical energy sources becomes prominent. In this paper, adaptive indoor electric power supply is presented, which provides features to measure energy consumption and recognizes the type of attached electrical devices. Futhermore, the proposed framework enables to assign the voltage for them. The results present positive impacts of using the adaptive indoor electric energy supply for emissions of electrical components, especially with often exchangeable home electrical appliances. Electric energy consumption can be reduced by using adaptive indoor electric power supply. This system could change power sources in different type of devices, also to decrease e-waste and to reduse transportation costs and use of energy resources at households.7 Publication Adequacy of mathematical and physical model of oscillating mechatronic device[Исследование адекватности физической и математической моделей колебательного мехатронного устройства]research article; ; Electronics and electrical engineering = Электроника и электротехника = Elektronika ir elektrotechnika. Kaunas : Technologija, 2008, no. 7 (87)., p. 69-72Mostly used mechatronic devices are electrical energy converters into mechanical energy. Because of this reason it is very important to research them. One of the research types are mathematical mechatronic drive models. The research of drive was concluded using three methods: performing a physical experiment, performing a mathematical model, electromagnetic force, winding‘s inductivity solutions by calculating (2), (3), (4) dependence and performing mathematical model when the values are approximate from previously calculated dependency surfaces. The voltage of the energy source that was feeding the drive was changed and monitoring of motor moving part’s oscillating amplitude and force in the circuit. During the mathematical model, using finite elements method, the results are closer to the physical model than mathematical model, when electromagnetic force is calculated taking the first degree of the order function. Because of that reason mathematical model, using finite elements method is acceptable. It is worth to explore finite elements method usage in mathematical model.- conference paper

Publication Ambient lighting controller based on reinforcement learning components of multi-agents[Daugelio agentų paskatos mokytis komponentais grindžiamas aplinkos apšvietimo valdiklis]research article; ; ;Dzemydienė, Dalė; Elektronika ir elektrotechnika = Electronics and Electrical engineeringThe paper presents a vision of sustainable eco-social laboratory, the ESLab which might be used to speed up the process of development of the recently proposed by authors of the Smart Eco-Social Apartment. It is presented the multi-agent model of the ambient comfort measurement and environment control system to be used for the development of the ESLab. The human Ambient Lighting Affect Reward index, the ALAR index is proposed at the first time used for development of the Reinforcement Learning Based Ambient Comfort Controller, the RLBACC for the ESLab. The ALAR index is dependent on human physiological parameters: the temperature, the ECG- electrocardiogram and the EDA-electro-dermal activity. The fuzzy logic is used to approximate the ALAR index function by defining two fuzzy inference systems: the Arousal-Valence System, and the Ambient Lighting Affect Reward (ALAR) System. The goal of the RLBACC is to find such the environmental state characteristics that create an optimal comfort for people affected by this environment. The Radial Basis Neural Network is used as the main component of the RLBACC to performing of two roles - the policy structure, known as the Actor, used to select actions, and the estimated value function, known as the Critic that criticizes the actions made by the Actor. The Critic in this paper was used as a value function approximation of the continuous learning tasks of the RLBACC.2Scopus© Citations 6WOS© IF 0.411WOS© AIF 1.629Scopus© SNIP 0.749 - conference paper

;Kudarauskas, Sigitas; 2002 Purdue Conferences : Sixteenth International Compressor Engineering Conference at Purdue : Ninth International Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Conference at Purdue. Purdue, 2002., p. 1-8This paper presents the method of an operation analysis of the piston compressor driven by an oscillating synchronous motor. The compatibility of parameters of oscillating electrical motor and piston compressor as load is the goal of this analysis. The properties of oscillating synchronous motor in the steady-state regime are evaluated by the characteristics as functions of the complex argument, that is of load mechanical impedance.2 - conference paper
; ; ; ; ; 7th IEEE Workshop on Advances in Information, Electronic and Electrical Engineering (AIEEE’2019) : 15-16 November 2019, Liepaja, Latvia : proceedingsIn this paper, we examine the engineering possibility to apply monitoring equipment to detect movement patterns and collect statistical information in harsh container handling environment, during loading and unloading procedures. We design a simple, yet highly efficient data capture tool and use it to solve a transportation problem to lower the security issues and costs associated with increased turn-over time. This is an ongoing EU Structural fund project, its aim is to present a way and a technological solution to synchronize the crane, and Automated guided vehicle (AGV) processes. We demonstrate the problem and provide the readers with a use case study.7Scopus© Citations 5 Publication Analysis of the efficiency of shipping containers handling/loading control methods and proceduresresearch article; ; ; ; ; Gudas, SauliusAdvances in mechanical engineering. London : SAGE publications Ltd, 2019, vol. 11, iss. 1., p. 1-12Most modern quay cranes operate under the operator’s control. Lifting, lowering, and transporting a container from one platform to another are just some of the actions that a person is responsible for, but the negative consequences of handling can be caused not only by his actions. An error, loading transient instability, or an undervalued environmental factor in the control algorithm can cause a risk to human safety, container, and cargo security. In order to control cargohandling risk, it is necessary to improve the cargo control systems not only by changing their software, but also by creating additional control algorithms and systems. These systems with programmed control algorithms should be integrated into existing systems to control cargo security and its transfer time. In this article, transient processes and dynamic property of the cargo-handling operation are described and multibody dynamics simulation performed using laboratory prototype of a quay crane. The experimental research performed and integrated autonomous quay crane control algorithm developed with the proposed embedded container swinging control subroutine operated in optimal mode when the control system used PID controller with a feedback including additional PI controller and S-shaped input signal for the analyzed case with the defined parameter set.5Scopus© Citations 6WOS© IF 1.161WOS© AIF 3.485Scopus© SNIP 0.753 Publication Analysis of the oscillating synchronous pulsating current motor and the piston compressor driveconference paper ;Kudarauskas, Sigitas; International XIII symposium on micromachines & servodrives : Krasiczyn, 15-19. London : Springer, 2018, vol. 12, iss. 6., p. 1107-1114The main objective of this work is to establish an automated classification system of seabed images. A novel two-stage approach to solving the image region classification task is presented. The first stage is based on information characterizing geometry, colour and texture of the region being analysed. Random forests and support vector machines are considered as classifiers in this work. In the second stage, additional information characterizing image regions surrounding the region being analysed is used. The reliability of decisions made in the first stage regarding the surrounding regions is taken into account when constructing a feature vector for the second stage. The proposed techniquewas tested in an image region recognition task including five benthic classes: red algae, sponge, sand, lithothamnium and kelp. The taskwas solved with the average accuracy of 90.11% using a data set consisting of 4589 image regions and the tenfold cross-validation to assess the performance. The two-stage approach allowed increasing the classification accuracy for all the five classes, more than 27% for the “difficult” to recognize “kelp” class.Scopus© Citations 4WOS© IF 1.894WOS© AIF 3.522Scopus© SNIP 1.269 - conference paper
