Abstract

Born in 1960 March 25 in Gargždai. In 1978 graduated Gargždai 2 secondary school, 1978-1979 worked as a locksmith-stamper at Gargždai "Metal" processing company, in 1979-1980 studied in the preparatory courses of Vilnius University. 1980 -1985 studied history at Vilnius University, in 1989-1992 studied at Vilnius University's postgraduate course in the field of history. In 1999 in Vytautas the Great University defended PhD thesis "Military and Political Activities of the Lithuanian Rifleman Association in 1919-1923" (supervisor - Dr. R. Žepkaitė; since 1998 - Prof. Dr. L. Truska). Since 1985 Lecturer of history subjects at the Klaipėda faculties of the Lithuanian Conservatory. In 1993 lecturer of political science in Klaipėda University, since 1994 - lecturer at Klaipėda university History Department, 2001-2019 - head of History Department, since 2002 - associate professor, since 2015 - full professor. 2002–2017 member of the Board of the Humanities Faculty at Klaipėda University, 2007–2011, 2017–2021 and from 2021 Member of the Klaipėda University Senate. Interned at Central European University (Budapest), Lady Margaret Hall (Oxford University), International Baptist School (Prague), Bradford College (UK). Gave lectures in Sweden (University of Gothenburg), Germany (University of Greifswald, FH Nordhausen), Russia (I.Kant State University in Kaliningrad), Turkey (Kilis 7 Aralik University, Kahramanmaraš Imam Sutcu University), Prague (International Baptist Theological Seminary), participated in scientific at conferences in Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Israel, France, Italy, Ireland, USA. Participated in internships and seminars in Romania, Italy, Sweden. Expert of the Study Quality Assessment Center, expert of the International Scientific Database "Lituanistika", expert of the postdoctoral internship program of the Lithuanian Science Council, expert of the programs of the Lithuanian Science Council. Political columnist for Lithuanian radio, "Žinių radijas", daily paper "Vakarų ekspresas", consultant in the fields of history and culture in various institutions. Member of Klaipėda City Council (2003-2018).
