Šiame straipsnyje analizuojami duomenys apie akmens ir dendromorfines teofanijas XV–XVIII a. rašytiniuose šaltiniuose ir nustatomos šių teofanijų refleksijos XIX–XXI a. liaudies medicinos terapiniuose metoduose, remiantis archyviniais ir autorės gydomųjų tikėjimų užrašymais.10 9 1 Publication Ankstyvoji lietuviškosios etnomuzikologijos terminija bei sąvokos: atradimai bei paklydimai[Early terminological sources of Lithuanian ethnomusicology: discoveries and mistakes]research articleTautosakos darbai. Vilnius : Lietuvių literatūros ir tautosakos institutas, 2004, t. 20 (27)., p. 84-95Lithuanian ethnomusicology started writing its own history in the 16th century. Formation of the early ethnomusicological terminology took place until the first half of the 20th century. Different historical periods are examined in this article as well. The earliest historical sources of Lithuanian ethnomusicology (from the 16th century until the beginning of the 17th century) were published in foreign languages, usually in Latin or German. Their translations into Lithuanian are presented in this article, along with exhaustive commentaries. The middle period of Lithuanian ethnomusicological terminology formation (from the second half of the17th century until the end of the 19th century) also supplies data in foreign languages (mainly Latin, German and Polish). But the names of traditional Lithuanian musical instruments and their constituents are presented exclusively in Lithuanian. The formation of scientific ethnomusicological terminology in Lithuanian language began in the first half of the 20th century. Over 10 scholars and other prominent figures like A. Sabaliauskas, M. K. Čiurlionis, M. Petrauskas, M. Biržiška, K. Banaitis, T. Brazys and others were pioneers in this field. All the terminological issues are discussed here in the following order: – General terminological definitions, – Terminology of the music theory, – Traditional singing and interpretation terminology, – Senses of the term “voice” (balsas), – Terms for traditional folk music instruments, – Terms reflecting the generic content of traditional folk songs. Examples of the early terminology presented here make it possible for us to understand the historical background and development of all the varying definitions in the updated contemporary Lithuanian ethnomusicological terminology. It also reveals the future perspective of this science in the context of modern international studies on comparative ethnomusicology.2 - research articleRes Humanitariae. Vilnius : Lietuvių literatūros ir tautosakos institutas, 2000, t. 12 (19)., p. 227-238The article deals with the structure of one fishermen's song of Lithuania Minor and the structural variety in a number of its versions. Some poetical conceptions and meanings of lexemes, typical of littoral area only as well as their origin and the causes of change, are analyzed. The discussed song is assumed to possess a mosaic feature, its macrostructure consisting °f different composition fragments. These notions can be proved by the song versions which fail to contain one or another composition fragment or when the same composition fragment appears in different song types. Depending on the performer, the macrostructure of the song may vary or change.

7 - research articleŽiemgala : istorijos ir kultūros žurnalas. Kaunas : Žiemgalos leidykla, 2012, Nr. 1., p. 45-47It is always important and necessary to review certainly relevant scientific publications. And especially those which are intended not only for the academic community, but also for a wide circle of readers of various education and experience. Now all the publications intended for cultural heritage of ethnic regions and subregions of Lithuania are of topical issue. Unfortunately, our famous geographers have divided Lithuania into regions, districts and smaller administrative districts having forgotten to take into account the boundaries of ethnic origin, so the boundaries of Sėla, Skalva, Žiemgala, Dainava or other historical Baltic tribes were doomed to oblivion. Therefore, how can we restore to our young people if not the respect then at least the interest in the origins of our parents’ and grandparents’ identity? The only hope is education. So everybody who cares about the ethnic identity of our people have to continue tirelessly and successively gather data and disseminate the knowledge about the history of one or another ethnic region in Lithuania, relics of cultural heritage, dialect features, peculiarities of traditional lifestyle and crafts. The publication under review Žiemgalos kultūros paveldas (Žiemgala Cultural Heritage) describes place names, language, old sacred places, ethnic music and burial traditions of Žiemgala region.
