Publication Chloridų įtakos veikliojo dumblo biocenozės augimui tyrimai[The influence of the chlorides upon the avtivated sludge community growth]conference paper; Technologijos mokslo darbai Vakarų Lietuvoje : [V respublikinė mokslinė konferencija, 2006 m. gegužės 18-19 d., Klaipėda, Lietuva]. Klaipėda : Klaipėdos universiteto leidykla, 2006, [d.] 5., p. 290-294The article deals with the influence of the chlorides upon the avtivated sludge community growth. The problems of protection of water bodies are closely related to treatment of wastewater discharged to them. It has been noted that concentrations of wastewater delivered to treatment facilities have increased lately. The main aim of this work is analyze the effect of chlorides on biochemical oxidation process and activated sludge community growth, to investigate the influence of the enzyme preparation upon water quality. Kinetics of microbial growth was design using the model of Monod.1 - research article

For the coastal zone of the Baltic Sea in the regions of Latvia and Lithuania soil erosion is an especially urgent problem mainly in connection with the peculiarities of sandy soils. The diminishing soil erosion in Baltic countries is historically based on planting trees and erecting hedges around the crops. Unfortunately, these methods for soil erosion control are labour-intensive and not very effective. One of the attractive solutions to this problem may be a method for biological reinforcement of the sandy soil surface by hydroseeding, which combines simultaneous application of plant seeds, mineral fertilisers, mulch and a soil stabiliser, adhering the seeds to the sandy surface, forming reinforced surface layers and preventing water runoff and soil loss. ISBN 9788022816663., p. 189-195An environmentally friendly non-expensive lignin-based soil stabiliser to control soil erosion on sandy soils has been developed by Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry. The new soil stabiliser was created specially for simultaneous application with wood-originated mulch in the form of saw dust, bark and hydrolysis lignin of different wood species such as aspen, birch, spruce and pine by way of hydroseeding and was investigated from the viewpoint of the etchnological, functional and environmental aspects of its use.- research article

Tyrimui pasirinktos šios medžiagos: cukrus, morkų sulčių koncentratas, saulėgražų aliejus, rapso aliejaus metilo esteris, jautienos taukai. Tiriant riebalinių medžiagų cheminės sudėties įtaką biodegradacijai, nustatyta priklausomybė tarp medžiagos nesotumo laipsnio ir oksidacijos greičio.1 Publication Smeltaitės upės biotvenkinių įtakos azoto balansui modeliavimas[Modelling of bioponds influence to Smeltaite river nitrogen balance]research article; Jūra ir aplinka : jūrų technologijos ir gamtos mokslai. Klaipėda : Klaipėdos universiteto leidykla, 2006, Nr. 1 (14)., p. 64-70Nitrogen removal efficiency by artificially constructedbioponds on Smeltaite river isconsiderad. Ammonia and nitrates nitrogen concentrations were measured during September fot three of six pounds. The primary evalution of nitrogen removal efficiency was done using obtained data. The biogeochemical wetland model was developed to evaluate nitrogen removal for the different conditions. The comparison of model predictions with experimental data demonstrated the satisfactory model performance. The evaluation nitrogen removal based on model predictions and experimental data showed that removal of nitrogen is not efficient on the beinning and the end of the vegetation season.1
