Field of Science
Abstract
An environmentally friendly non-expensive lignin-based soil stabiliser to control soil erosion on sandy soils has been developed by Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry. The new soil stabiliser was created specially for simultaneous application with wood-originated mulch in the form of saw dust, bark and hydrolysis lignin of different wood species such as aspen, birch, spruce and pine by way of hydroseeding and was investigated from the viewpoint of the etchnological, functional and environmental aspects of its use.
