Abstract (en)
The analysis of the steps of conceptual design of experimental inland waterways ecology research self-propelled laboratory is presented in this paper. The purpose of conceptual design is to merge ship design principles applying ECO approach of alternative power sources with the possibilities of research of coastal ecosystems. Applicable design principles, including international maritime safety and pollution requirements, are discussed in this paper.
