Abstract
3D spausdinimas, arba adityvus gaminimas (additive manufacturing) – tai trimačio, vientiso, praktiškai bet kokios formos objekto gaminimo procesas iš skaitmeninio modelio, kai skirtingomis formomis sudedami sluoksniai. Straipsnyje pateikiama informacinė apžvalga apie trimačio spausdinimo tipus, panaudojimo galimybes otorinolaringologijoje.
3D Printing, also known as Additive Manufacturing (AM), refers to processes used to create a three-dimensional objecs. Objects can be of almost any shape or geometry and typically are produced using digital model data from a 3D model or another electronic data source, when layers are composed of different shapes. Although this technology appeared in the 1980s until the second decade of the 21st century, such printers were used exclusively for commercial purposes. This paper provides an overview of the types of three-dimensional printing, and the possibilities of using it in otorhinolaryngology.
