Martinkėnas, Arvydas

Arvydas Martinkėnas, Master of Physics, PhD, Professor. Has 39 years of experience in research and 20 years of pedagogical work, specializing in the application of biostatistics methods in biomedical research, biometeorology. He defended dissertation on "Prognosis of Human Cardiovascular Reactions in Meteorological and Helium‐geophysical Factors" (1996). He was involved in in 10 national and international research projects as a participant and as a coordinator during the last 10 years. He specializes in the application of biostatistics methods of data analysis and representation of the obtained results, focusses on the biotechnical issues of medical technologies. 2015-2018 y. European Network for Innovative Uses of EMFs in Biomedical Applications (EMF-MED). Member of COST BM1309 Management Committee, He is member in the project co-funded from the EU Structural Funds 09.3.3LMT-K712-010174 “Researching specialist training to provide holistic help to people with disabilities in the health care system while improving researcher competencies”, Head Project no. 01.2.2-LMT-K-718-05-0020 "Development and research of antiviral disinfection technology and its implementation prototype for the protection of passengers against COVID-19 in public transport". Over the past 10 years he published 22 papers in the Web of Science database. He is an active member in international scientific societies, including the European Federation of Radiographer Societies.
