Abstract
In the thesis, the quality of primary care services in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic is analysed. The level of quality of services determines not only the satisfaction of patients but also the competitive advantage of the institution, which is an important factor in assessing quality and not disappointing patients. Patient satisfaction is an indicator of the quality of healthcare services. The aim of the study is to assess patients' attitude towards the services provided in a primary healthcare facility in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Research methodology. A quantitative study was conducted to investigate the quality of services provided in primary healthcare settings. Statistical data processing and content analysis methods are used. The sample consists of 321 respondents. The study was carried out in accordance with ethical principles. The survey was carried out from 20/11/2021 to 31/01/2022. Results. The study found that respondents living in towns or villages and urban areas have a more favourable perception of the services provided during the COVID-19 pandemic period than respondents living in cities. More than half of the respondents think that the organisation of the primary healthcare center (PHC) work has changed for the worse during the COVID-19 pandemic, while only about one third think that it has changed for the better. The differences in opinions are influenced by the respondents' place of residence, the city in which the PHC they visit is located and the number of years they have been visiting the PHC. Thus, about two thirds of the respondents who have been visiting the PHC for 10 years or less, who reside in a large city, and who have been visiting a PHC located in a large city, indicate that the organisation of work in the PHC during the period of the pandemic has changed for the worse during the period of the COVID-19. Conclusion. According to the results of the study on the quality of services provided by the healthcare centre in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the following trends can be identified that more than half of the respondents believe that the organisation of work of the healthcare centre in the period of the COVID-19 pandemic has changed for the worse. However the respondents are positive about the technical and functional quality aspect during the COVID-19 pandemic. The evaluation of the services provided by the PHC and of the teleconsultations provided during this period is high.
