Abstract
Tyrimo tikslas - įvertinti gimdyvių informuotumą apie antrinės hipolaktacijos korekcijos galimybes alternatyviosios medicinos metodų pagalba. Tyrimo metodika. 2019 m. vasario mėn. buvo atliktas kiekybinis tyrimas, naudojant klausimyną. Tyrimo imtis – 208 respondentės. Duomenų analizei naudota SPSS 21.0 programa. Tyrimas atliktas laikantis etikos principų. Tyrimo rezultatai.
Objective: To assess women`s knowledge and efforts in solving secondary breastfeeding-related problems, using methods of alternative medicine. Study selection and data analysis: The investigation was carried out in February 2019. The survey (using an anonymous questionnaire) included 208 women, who were raising children, aged 0 – 18 months. The research was conducted in accordance with ethical principles. The analysis of the data was made using the SPSS statistical analysis software, version SPSS 21.0. Results: The results are grouped between women raising a single child and two or more children. Women raising a single child were informed of the benefits of breastfeeding (51%-95%), 8- 68% knew how to tell, if the baby did not receive enough milk, 53-75% were informed how lack of milk affects the health of their babies, 18-66% were informed of appropriate physiotherapy methods, 7-36% of methods of phytotherapy, and 1-26% agreed, that certain foods can help solve breastfeeding related problems. Only 0.8-1.6% of women raising only one child believed that milk deficiency can be solved by using medication. Most women raising two or more children were informed of the benefits of the breastfeeding (53-94%), between 6 and 56% knew how to tell, if the baby did not receive enough milk, 45-68% were informed of the health changes cause by lack of milk, 18-58% were informed of appropriate physiotherapy methods, 7-36% of methods of phytotherapy, and 0.1-34% agreed, that certain foods can help solve breastfeeding related problems. Conclusion: In most cases, there were no statistically significant differences between the level of knowledge of alternative medicine methods comparing women who raised one or two and more children. The only exception was the response related to a question about cumin tea. More women who raised one child agreed, that cumin tea can have a positive influence on breastfeeding (pvalue = 0.037). Most women who raised two and more children are aware of the benefits of homeopathic droplets (p = 0.010). There were no other significant differences during the study between respondents of these 2 groups.
