Аспекты подготовки менеджеров инноваций

Abstract

The level of the innovation activities in Lithuania is rated to be moderate and occupies the 23th place among other moderate countries worldwide, ahead of only Poland, Latvia, Romania and Bulgaria. However, only some Lithuanian Universities offer such study programs as "Knowledge Management and Innovation" and "Strateg ic Innovation Management", and the integrated program "Innovation Management" does not exist at all. The purpose of the article is to determine the need for the innovation managers and describe the specific aspect of the innovation managers training based on the objectives and outcomes of the master's program "Innovative Management and Technology". The qualitative research completed with the large and reputable industrial enterprises, services sector companies, communication, science and technology parks in dicated that there is a need for innovation managers in Klaipeda region. Department of Management Faculty of Social Sciences at Klaipeda University has prepared the master's program "Innovative management and technology" which has been implemented in Septe mber 2013 when the first 23 Master students started the classes.
