Abstract
A set of equations for deriving the SU(3)-irreducible density matrix for U(3(A−1)) multiquantum excited states involved is given. For the 84 Be nucleus, the binding energies, radii, spectra, electric quadrupole moments, and probabilities B(E2) of electric quadrupole transitions are computed in the multiquantum approximation of the unitary scheme. The values obtained for the above spectroscopic quantities are investigated versus the number of basis functions involved.
