Lina Petrošienė (Laurinavičiūtė) is a doctor of ethnology at Klaipėda University, where she is a professor and senior research fellow at the Philology Department of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Her research explores ethnic music, folklore and cultural processes. Her work is focused on the ethnic music and customs of Lithuania Minor (Prussian Lithuania) and the Shrovetide in Lithuania and Europe. She is an expert of the Research Council of Lithuania and an expert of the Lithuanian Council of Culture. Since 2017, she has been a member of the Council for the Safeguarding of Ethnic Culture under the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania.
