Support for Ukrainian students

We invite students from higher education institutions in Ukraine to continue their studies at Klaipeda University.

Students who have studied at least one semester at the higher education institution in Ukraine can seek academic transfer to the similar study programme at Klaipeda University.
Each transfer case is assessed individually, so we request you to contact us by email admission@ku.lt or call +370 46 398 951.

In an email, please, briefly describe your situation: name of the institution, study programme, year of study, and if possible, please provide university transcripts with study subjects and grades, or a brief description of your study programme, subjects studied.

Citizens of the Republic of Ukraine who transfer to Klaipeda University from higher education institutions of the Republic of Ukraine will be exempted from the tuition fee.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of Lithuania plans to give scholarships to Ukrainian students; the information will be updated.

Klaipeda University offers free accommodation in University dormitories.

To register for a psychologist’s consultation, send an inquiry by e-mail: olga.kirejeva@ku.lt. Indicate the day of the week you wish to attend the consultation (I, III or V, please note the opening hours). You can also specify how you can communicate, live or virtual. In response to your letter, we will suggest the nearest date and time of the consultation available.

Klaipeda University also provides spiritual pastoral consultations, which are conducted by the chaplain of the academic pastor, dr. Andrius Vaitkevičius.

University Scholarships

The University has 11 scholarships for students from UKRAINE. The entrants and students showing best performance shall be granted a tuition fee reduction of 100% throughout the entire period of studies.

If you want to qualify for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria for 2022 application:

  1. You are a citizen of Ukraine.
  2. You enter the Bachelor’s degree study programme.
  3. Your academic performance average is no less than 8 (CGPA) > 80%. The student must maintain the average of at least 8 points throughout the period of studies.

  3. Selected candidates will be informed individually on 30th of July. Please note! Due to SKVC center delay, candidates will be informed on 19th of August.

Klaipeda University offers free accommodation in University dormitories.

Once the faculties have an opportunity to spare their working, researhers from Ukraine that meet university qualification criteria can be employed part-time. 

EXTERNAL SUPPORT

Support (scholarships) for Ukrainians is expected from the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports

The Education Exchange Support Fund has doubled (to 60 students) the support (scholarship and tuition fee allowance) for Ukrainian citizens entering in second cycle full-time study programmes at Lithuanian higher education institutions.
