The main aim of the Master’s degree programme in Technical Information Systems Engineering is to prepare highly qualified IT systems engineers (Informatics engineering specialists) that meet the requirements of the modern knowledge-based society and emerging digital industry (Industry 4.0 and 5.0).
More than 10 years of successful programme implementation testify that the programme graduates possess fresh knowledge and practical skills of Software and Information Systems Engineering, Smart Embedded Systems, Robotics, Digital Signal Processing and Automatic Control Systems, Cloud Computing and Ubiquitous Services. They are capable of creatively addressing complex theoretical and practical issues of digital transformation in various sectors of economy and are competent enough to take part and even to lead engineering and MTEP (scientific) projects.
The study programme seeks further innovations to prepare specialists able to work in a highly dynamic, open and creative environment of advanced industry and modern analytic IT sector, as well as to provide graduates with knowledge and skills necessary for further academic career and Doctoral studies.
Masters in Technical Information Systems Engineering can work as highly qualified specialists in advanced industry, software houses and IT companies. Graduates have employment opportunities in various Lithuanian and foreign companies that provide telecommunication and information services, develop software and big data analytic solutions, smart electronics, electrical and embedded systems, mobile apps, digital control systems. Graduates can also choose to continue their PhD studies in Lithuanian and foreign universities.
In terms of study and research infrastructure, the Faculty provides good working and study conditions for students. The following laboratories are available for study and research activities of students: Software Systems Engineering, Advanced Control and Robotics, Virtual Instruments and Systems Engineering, Digital and Analogue Electronics, Intelligent Transport Systems Design, including Virtual Design and Prototyping, Cloud Computing and Ubiquitous Services, Automatization and Applied Robotics.
- University Bachelor`s degree in the area of technological, biomedical, physical sciences;
- University Bachelor’s degree in other areas and at least two-year work experience in the study field;
- Professional Bachelor’s degree after the completion of Pre-Master’s studies.
