Master in Professional Ethics and the Audit of Ethics

The graduate study programme in Professional Ethics and the Audit of Ethics aims to prepare experts and auditors of ethics who are able to: organise and perform the audit procedure activities; get involved in the prevention of unethical activities and take appropriate decisions; manage complicated processes and situations related to the knowledge, understanding, and application of the standards of ethics in the public and private sectors.

The structure of the curriculum

The courses of the curriculum include Aristotle’s Practical Philosophy, Contemporary Christian Ethics, Ombudsman Institution: the Relation of Law and Ethics, Psychological Methods of Knowing a Person. Electives: Business Ethics, Health Policy and Ethics, Simulation Process and New Media Ethics, Ethics of Utilitarianism, Legal Regulations of Environmental Protection in the European Union, Research Paper (a project on the Code of Ethics).

Career options

Graduates can work as members of the committees of ethics and ethical procedures in state institutions; experts of ethics conducting commissioned research for the public and private sectors; lecturers of  ethics at universities and colleges in Lithuania and the EU member states; auditors of ethics in the public and private sectors; analysts of ethics and members of various working groups of ethics in institutional divisions in Lithuania and the EU; and experts-advisors on the issues of ethics. They can also continue in the 3rd cycle (doctoral) studies.

The programme admits individuals with a university bachelor’s degree.
