Logistics (Bc of Business Management)
Logistics is a business study program focused on the business needs of a port region. Klaipeda University is located in a port city, and the port is a big logistics center where the roads of land, water and air intersect. Logistics is the management of resource flows between origin and consumption points. Logistics Business Specialist, who has the latest topical knowledge in logistics business and has practical skills, will be able to set up and manage a logistics business, evaluate and control the business situation, work as a logistics center or unit, supply and sales department, transport company or warehouse manager.
The structure of the curriculum
During the studies, students have subjects in logistic, economics, business law, business management, general marketing, trading marketing, e-business, entrepreneurship, business communication, supply chain management, public speaking, freight forwarding, forwarding and shipping agency, service operation management, activity of maritime organizations, management of port activities, LNG terminal management and activity regulation, freight classification, freight flow, etc. Besides theoretical courses, students participate in a number of the field practices.
Supply and distribution managers would be able plan, facilitate and coordinate people, information and goods transportation systems and services as well as manage resource supply, transportation, storage and distribution of goods and be able to lead and manage an enterprise or an organization.
