Regional Formation and Development Studies

Scientific journal “Regional Formation and Development Studies” is being published by Klaipeda University. Thematic remains important scientific and practical direction – problems of regional development, but here the same topic is looked through sustainable development. The important direction in regional development is – social, economic and development problems in borderlines; so here a very important line is dispose of researches and frame of proposals for sustainable development in borderlines. Researches are made by analyzing migration and identity problems in different regions, where the trends of migration and identity are different, in this case economic problems can be solved as well. Organizations management determines different regional development, therefore corporate social responsibility and studies of small and medium – sized organizations are like the main engine of regional development, also are very important for sustainable regional development and timely.

All papers are reviewed by two scientists. Journal is included to EBSCO Publishing Business Source Complete databases. Journal is printed three times per year.

The purpose of seminar:
Seminar dedicated for elaboration a discussion on different aspects related to changes and experiences in the border regions. As well to share the knowledge on current researches, gained outcomes and to present new ideas, interdisciplinary approaches in the cross-border studies. The purpose is to prompt an interaction between humanities and social sciences, to reveal objective and subjective findings in borderology, to strengthen the academic cohesion, to reduce mental distances between the societies and their cultures of the border regions, to create new forms of trans-border cooperation in the space of the Green Belt zone.
