The goal – to investigate the Baltic Sea region welfare society assumptions. Also to investigate the social, managerial, economic, cultural and political factors that lead to the development of welfare society in the context of sustainable development.

The goal – the main subject of studies in this program will be a social and cultural change in the eastern Baltic Sea between the Vistula and Daugava river XI-XXI centuries. The program will be aimed at interdisciplinary research perspective and the Baltic Sea region in the context of disclosure of major changes, transformed societies and cultures in the region, particularly focusing on the basic societies Christianisation, Conversion to Orthodoxy, modernization and nationalization process.

The goal – the main target of the investigations, under the program will be in the Baltic Sea east of the region’s land and underwater landscapes, flooded the Baltic Sea coast, in the Baltic Sea water level fluctuations, coastal accommodation of the early and mid Holocene, economic, cultural and social development of the Iron Age to modern times , archaeological materials research.
