Klaipėda University has improved its position in the prestigious global QS Emerging Europe & Central Asia University Rankings 2021 published at the end of the year.
In the Rankings 2020, Klaipėda University was in the 116th position among the 600 ranked regional universities, while in 2021, it has climbed four places and currently occupies the 112th place in the ranking list. In the rankings of the evaluated region, Klaipėda University has been listed after Vilnius Gediminas Technical, Kaunas Technology, and Vytautas Magnus Universities.
“QS-published rankings of the world’s universities is always an expected event in the academic world, which allows us to test our positions in the international research area. We are glad that a positive change is becoming an annual trend, and in the present ranking, regarded as prestigious, we are among the top five highest-ranked Lithuanian universities,” commented prof. dr. Artūras Razbadauskas, Rector of Klaipėda University.
According to him, a positive change in the prestigious ranking provides a real boost in motivation to further strengthen the scientific and academic potential of Klaipėda University.
