On June 9, Klaipėda University was visited by a delegation of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) : Vice-Rector Annik Magerholm Fet, Director of the Institute of Biological Sciences Tove Havnegjerde, and Coordinator of International Relations Anne Ulla.
The meeting was attended by Rector of Klaipėda University prof. dr. habil. Eimutis Juzeliūnas, Chairman of the KU Council and Director General of the AB Western Shipyard Arnoldas Šileika, Member of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania dr. Algimantas Kirkutis, Dean of the KU Faculty of Marine Engineering and Natural Sciences assoc. prof. dr. Rima Mickevičienė, Dean of the KU Faculty of Health Sciences prof. dr. Artūras Razbadauskas, Director of the KU Open Access Centre for Marine Research dr. Viktorija Vaitkevičienė, and coordinator of the LNG cluster Andrius Sutnikas.
The participants of the meeting discussed the issues of cooperation between Klaipėda University and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the significance of the science and business integration. After the official discussion, the guests were taken to the Dolphin Therapy Centre of the Lithuanian Maritime Museum and the Laboratory of Marine Fisheries and Aquaculture. The guests also visited the territory of the Western Baltic Shipyard and the Old City.
