Foreign Students Got Acquainted with Lithuanian Cuisine

Not only Lithuanians, but also foreign citizens from India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other countries choose to attain academic degrees at Klaipėda University. On a cold autumn evening, foreign students of KU got acquainted with the specificity of the Lithuanian cuisine. Students  from India, Bangladesh, Turkey, and Lithuania enjoyed Lithuanian cold beetroot soup,  didžkukuliai (balls of potato dough stuffed with meat), vėdarai (kind of sausage made of grated potatoes and baked in the oven), Samogitian and potato pancakes, fried bread, and a well-known delicacy Nomeda.

Oriental students had a number of questions about the Lithuanian cuisine, however, they found the  taste  not disappointing, and therefore promised: “We shall introduce our families to the Lithuanian food!”
