The survey on the participation of women in Cervical Cancer screening program was accomplished in Klaipeda city. There were investigated 296 women aged 30 to 60 years during their visit to family doctor at Primary Health Care Center. Chi-square test was used, the significance level p≤0.05 was considered statistically significant. The study revealed that the majority of investigated women were informed about the free test at the Cervical Cancer screening program.The information on Cervical Cancer prevention they obtained from family doctor, but majority of them was tested by obstetrician/gynecologist, but not by family doctor. For 25.7 % of investigated women PAP test has never been performed, and for another 25.7 %- PAP test was performed 1 to 2 years ago. 22 % investigated women didn’t know they belong to age group for regular PAP testing. 31.58 % of never tested women didn’t know they should be tested for avoiding cervical cancer. 42,9 % of investigated women underlined lack of information on frequency of PAP examination, 28.1 % - didn’t know the risk factors of cervical cancer, some of them didn’t know where they could be examined by free. The study showed that working women and more educated women significantly more actively participate in the screening program, compared with unemployed women or those with lower education. There was no significant association between participation in the cervical cancer screening program with the age group and marital status.
