The article deals with the students' positive experience changing school as a premise for improvement of the school system. In the scientific research school change is often proved as hazardous or even harmful to students. But it is worthy to analyze positive aspects of this experience and to answer question: what dimensions of students' positive experience changing school are instrumental for improvement of the school system? We applied a non-structured interview, to gather data from adults, who, being students, changed school. The positive experience of respondents helped us to reveal the positive school changing experiences and positive influence on the personality. The sample included 45 people. The data was analyzed using a method of content analysis. Research shows that the statements about school change impact should be evaluated critically. It is not always risky and harmful for students'. The dimensions of students' positive experiences when changing school are: a) wider & closer social relationship at school; b) transition to more favourable learning & living environment; c) higher academic expectations and achievements at school; d) better self-realization & development possibilities; e) closer and warmer relationship with parents. The research suggests that school system where students can change and choose schools is more appropriate for personality who becomes more active, self-confident, independent, who can deal with challenges, and who can proceed effectively in the modern society.
