Užrašymų datavimo atžvilgiu ankstyviausia ir labai įdomi lietuvių muzikinio folkloro medžiaga – 64 Prūsijos lietuvių dainų melodijos, XIX a. pradžioje sukauptos Liudviko Rėzos archyviniame palikime – daugiakultūrės aplinkos įtakų kontekste bemaž nenagrinėta. Straipsnyje siekiama atskleisti L. Rėzos palikimo melodijų „lietuviškumo“ ar / ir „vokiškumo / europietiškumo“ santykį. Lyginamoji dainų analizė parodė, kad L. Rėzos palikimo melodijų archajiškumas, tradiciškai siejamas su senųjų prūsų ar lietuvių genčių dvasine kultūra, yra didžiai abejotinas ir diskutuotinas dalykas. Nemaža dalis retų pavienių dainų pasirodo esančios „svetimos gaidos“ – dėl vokiškų ar bendraeuropietiškų melodijų tiesioginės ar netiesioginės įtakos susikūrę vietiniai variantai.
In terms of date of recording the earlier and most interesting Lithuanian musical folklore material, the 64 songs of Prussian Lithuanians collected in the 19th century and preserved in the L. Rėza archival legacy, have more or less never been considered in terms of influences from a multicultural environment. There has been no attempt to delve into the complex issue of the “German-Lithuanian” origin of the melodies in the collection. Perhaps one of the reasons for this has been and continues to be the ideology of cultural activities from the Soviet era, which found it necessary and acceptable to Lithuanianize L. Rėza’s work, suppressing, avoiding or condemning the unavoidable interaction between cultures in a multiethnic environment. The aim of this article is to discover and reveal the Lithuanian and/or German/European relationship in the songs. Research followed two paths: comparison of melodies in the L. Rėza collection with other melodies from Lithuanian Minor [ethnically Lithuanian parts of East Prussia plus adjacent areas in Lithuania proper] and other regions of Lithuania, and with German Protestant hymns.
