Implementation of the provisions of the principle of inclusion at school (to create conditions for each person to develop, cultivate their powers and abilities, receive the necessary help, experience success in learning, social, cultural and/or other activities and not be discriminated due to the diversity of educational needs and/or the need for educational assistance) is a continuous and never-ending process. The chapter “Helping the Child and Family Cope With Behavioral and Emotional Difficulties at School” will highlight the most important aspects of helping the child experience academic success. Effective methods of support for children with behavioral and emotional difficulties are discussed, long-term work strategies are developed, and effective methods of support with limited material and human resources are revealed. Tools and support techniques that help motivate children and family members to make positive changes are also analyzed. This chapter will discuss and identify the main mitigating factors in child and family support that influence children’s behavioral and emotional difficulties and their family well-being as well as methodical practical advice, correction of children’s behavior and goals of correctional work.
