The Baltic Sea is the main base for the international transport system in Lithuania seaside region. Because the number of ports is very big, the transportation distance on the land is decreasing. A lot of passenger and transport ferry lines cross the Baltic Sea (some of them take railway carriage). It is one of the most important aspects for fonning the sea metropolis. These processes can be declared as Klaipėda eity development, so now the alteration is obvious seen in Lithuania seashore zone. It is encouraging to build houses, social and economic infrastructure development. The process of coming closer is being between Klaipėda, Gargždai, Kretinga, Palanga cities, and after some time, eites may join. Also it is seen the development in Klaipėda to south direction. In this article possible maritime metropolis development tendencies are analysed.
