In the article the authors discuss: optimization strategies for the activities of the preschool education institutions, the conceptions of the optimization strategies, management theories used in the world and in Lithuania in the aspects of the optimization strategies. The authors present the preconditions of the optimization strategies of the activities in the preschool education institutions such as ; analysis of the plans of the strategic work in the educational institutions, attitude of managers, pedagogues, parents towards the preschooleducation management, evaluation analysis of the managers as the potential leaders.
