Abstract
The article studies a piece of Lithuanian composer Kristina Vasiliauskaitė (b. 1956) "Canticles from the Catechism of Martynas Mažvydas", that was written in 1996. From ten canticles melodies of the Catechism she chose seven and harmonized them for voice and organ. Musical features of all canticles that were harmonized are discussed in the article.
