Abstract (en)
In 2019, in order to learn scientifically about archaeological objects, a search was made for such objects underwater in East Lithuanian bodies of water: Lakes Aisetas (Molėtai District) and Asveja (Vilnius District) and separate sections of the River Žeimena (Švenčionys District). In Lake Asveja, 3 dugouts were inventoried (dating to 1400–1630 cal ad, 1238–1398 cal ad, and 1034–1241 cal ad) (Figs. 1, 2). A site was found in the River Žeimena at Rimkai village, where, in connection with forestry management, log driving was conducted on the river in the 16th (15th)–20th centuries. Iron axe and pike pole heads were found there (Figs. 3, 4).
