The time that has passed since Lithuania re-established its statehood has revealed the peculiarities of social and political developments. The peculiarities of social differentiation play an important role in explaining recent developments of Lithuanian society. The article deals with the perplexing issues concerning the interaction among different generations and the problems of youth self-identification.
