Straipsnyje nagrinėjami katalikiškojo religingumo raiškos liaudiškojo pamaldumo praktikų kontekste paradigminiai aspektai. Siekiama apibrėžti katalikiškojo religingumo sampratą, išgryninant apibrėžtį, struktūrą, raiškos požymius; apibūdinti liaudiškojo pamaldumo, jo praktikų sampratas; liaudiškojo pamaldumo praktikų kontekste aptarti katalikiškojo religingumo raiškos ypatumus. Čia religingumas suprantamas kaip asmeninis, unikalus, savanoriškas ir teigiamas žmogaus santykis su Dievu, išreiškiamas ir realizuojamas: religiniu sąmoningumu, religiniais jausmais, religiniais sprendimais (psichinė sritis); ryšiu su katalikiškąja tikinčiųjų bendruomene, religine praktika, religine morale (socialinė-kultūrinė sritis); religine patirtimi, tikėjimo išpažinimo formomis (specifinė religinė sritis). Liaudiškojo pamaldumo praktikos - asmens katalikiškojo religingumo raiškos dimensija. Tai įvairios privataus ar bendruomeninio pobūdžio politurginės religinio kulto apraiškos, kurios katalikiškojo tikėjimo kontekste reiškiasi ne liturgijos (nors glaudžiai su ja susietos), bet savitais tautos ar paskiros jos etninės grupės kultūros aspektais.
The foundation of Catholic religiosity is based on the various scientific works from various fields: theology, philosophy, psychology, sociology, education science etc. The problem of Catholic religiosity in the scientific field is actual nowadays and the effective theoretical and empirical solutions are needed as well. The practical relevance of the problem is also based on the social level: changing political-sociocultural conditions, new educational goals created by today’s society, a new system of educational institutions, changes in their functioning, etc. However, specific theoretical and empirical research on this subject is lost: insufficiently highlighted problems related to the Catholic religious-ethnic heritage, there are no works to analyze the expression of Catholic religiosity in the aspects of popular piety. The main problematic questions raised in the research are: what is the theoretical basis for determining the empirical attributes o f Catholic religious expression and the factors that influence it? What kind of diagnostic tool is needed to explore Catholic religiosity? How can the practices of popular piety influence the Catholic religiosity and how much of this influence can be improved? The subject of this research is the expression of Catholic religiosity peculiarities. The purpose of the research is to base the theoretical foundations of expression Ca tholic religiosity in the context of practices of popular piety. The research tasks are as follows: 1) to define the concept of Catholic religiosity, underlining its definition, structure and signs of expression; 2) to describe the concepts of popular piety and the practices of popular piety; 3) to discuss the Catholic religiosity peculiarities in the context of liturgical years. Methods of the research: scientific literature analysis, synthesis, abstraction. The article introduces religiosity as a complex metatheorical phenomenon (both real and transcendental reality), which is analyzed by various sciences such as philo sophy, theology, psychology, sociology, educational science, ethnology, musicology, and others. The variety of definitions of religion and religiosity is highlighted: the structure of the relationship with God (Person-object) as a person (person-subject) as a mental, socio-moral, sociocultural aspects; religiousity is generaly perceived as influence of religion on person’s psyche and behavior; as a personal, unique, volunta ry and positive relationship of a human with God and structure o f it covers person’s mental (cognitive, emotional, conative levels), socio-cultural (behavior, activity) and specific religious (religious experience, forms of confession of faith) areas and para meters. The study reveals a variety of concepts of popular piety (it. pieta popolare), pre sents its forms of expression - the practice of popular piety (it. pieta popolare practice) as a religious, socio-cultural and educational phenomenon. The practice of popular piety is understood as various manifestations of a political or religious cult of a private or communal nature, which, in the context of Catholic faith, is not liturgy (albeit clo sely related to it) but specific aspects of the culture of the nation or its separate ethnic group. It is syncretic religious-musical activity of a person, which combines verbal and musical singing expressions as a derivative of religious consciousness, feelings and behaviour, embodied in actions. Revealed diversity of concepts ofpopular piety (it. pieta popolare) and introduced expression forms of practices ofpopular piety (it. pieta popolare practice). In the article, Catholic religiosity in the context of practice of popular piety practi ces is intended to be discussed in the context of the liturgical analysis. The practice of Catholic popular piety covers all liturgical years, “the structures of the time during which the Church celebrates the whole mystery of Christ” (LPLV, 84), The practice of popular piety is the factor of maturity of Catholic religiosity, a religious, socio-cultural-educational phenomenon. Their cognition, practical activity, emotional impact is an effective means for the person’s relationship with God, to en hance transcendence, and to increase the effectiveness of his religious, psycho-social, cultural, and specific religious development. It is a form of godliness, which relates to the language of culture and religion. The inner experiences and values of the practices popular piety can be achieved through the following forms of religious expression: praise, worship, gratitude, prayer, trust, penance, cross, and so on. The practices of Catholic popular piety confirm the na tional-religious experience, stimulate the emotional-psychological, sociocultural iden tification of the subject with religion and emerge as the dimension of the expression of individual religiosity and the expression of religious-national identity.
