Semantic structures with reflexive and non-reflexive verbs are discussed in the article. By comparing the syntactical semantic structures of the morphologically close predicates, it is aimed to determine how close they are. Such comparison helps to solve more general problem of relations of semantic structures of sentences in the Lithuanian language. The meaning of reflexive particle is firstly associated with the coming of orientation of subjective action. The differences of appropriate structures can be grouped in accordance with change nature of action orientation and strength of change. By the evaluation of sentences with semantic structures in the reality representation aspect, it has been determined that the changes of action orientation do not change the type of semantic structures but convey other denotative situation. The differences between the structures with reflective and non-reflective verbs are more related to syntactical than to semantic plane. By evaluation of such structures in the aspect of syntax realisation, the differences of expression can be related to intention of the speaker and communication purposes. Excluding the reflexive particle, there are other lexical, morphological and syntactical ways to convert the subjective orientation of the action or symmetric action as well. The reflexive particle is one of functionally close language means of different language levels enabling to convert appropriate syntactical semantic relations.
