Tarptautinį mobilumą skatinanti programa Erasmus – tai daugiau nei du dešimtmečius veikianti Europos Komisijos finansuojama ir koordinuojama tarptautinė Europos aukštųjų mokyklų studentų, dėstytojų bei personalo mainų programa. Studijų užsienyje metu pasisemiama tarptautinės akademinės patirties, gerėja kalbos įgūdžiai, atsiranda draugų ir susipažįstama su įvairiomis kultūromis, auga tolerancija, rezultate sudaromos galimybės ateityje sėkmingai dirbti daugiakultūrinėje europinėje aplinkoje. Nors Klaipėdos universiteto Rekreacijos ir turizmo studijų studentai puikiai žino Erasmus+ mainų programą, bei pagal mobilumą universitete užima lyderiaujančią poziciją, išvykstančių studijoms į užsienį studentų kiekis skaičius yra ganėtinai mažas ir sparčiai mažėja. Pagrindinės priežastys, dėl kurių studentai nenori ar dvejoja vykti studijoms į užsienį yra: nepakankamos užsienio kalbos žinios, finansiniai sunkumai, baimė vykti vienam bei turimas darbas.
An attitude of Klaipeda university‘s recreation and tourism students‘ towards studies abroad by erasmus+ exchange program is analyzed in the article. Relevance of research, submitted problem, exploratory question, elevated objective, tasks, object of research and the methods of research used are justified in the introduction. In the first part of an article there is disclosed by theoretical aspect European Union studies policy, it’s priorities and objectives of science and education , discussed international student mobility, its features and benefits. It also provides information about the Erasmus+ exchange program, as the best possibility to raise student mobility, its characteristics, objectives and statistical data. In the second part there is analysis of Klaipeda University student mobility, shown how Klaipeda’s University looks in Lithuanian university’s level by the mobility of students and there is provided students’ mobility statistics of recreation and tourism department. The third part of the article analyzes the questionnaire survey, which was seek to set an attitude of Klaipeda’s University Recreation and Tourism students’ towards studies abroad by the Erasmus + exchange program and qualitative research interviews, results The article ends with the conclusion: one of the main objectives of European Union studies’ policy is to support students and professor’s mobility. Mobility for student grants benefits such as foreign language skills improvement, cultural experiences and new academic knowledge. The best chance to increase the mobility of students is Erasmus + mobility program. Although Klaipeda’s University Recreation and Tourism students are well aware of the Erasmus + exchange program and they takes a leading position in the Klaipeda’s University by the mobility of students, students’ number of going for studies abroad is relatively small and has been rapidly decreasing.
