Šiame straipsnyje analizuojama renginių organizavimo galimybės bei jų pasiūla Gargždų miesto viešojoje erdvėje. Įvade pateikiama darbo problema, kurios esmė kelti Gargždų viešosios erdvės gaivinimo klausimą, tirti, ar centrinė miesto dalis ir kitos mieste esančios viešosios erdvės atitinka savo paskirtį, ar yra lankomos ir naudojamos gyventojų poilsiui. Pirmojoje dalyje analizuojami renginių organizavimo miesto viešosiose erdvėse aspektai. Apžvelgiama viešosios erdvės samprata, viešųjų erdvių tipologija ir funkcijos, renginių organizavimo miesto viešosiose erdvėse reglamentavimas. Antrojoje dalyje pateikiama Gargždų miesto viešųjų erdvių esamos situacijos analizė. Analizuojamos miesto viešųjų erdvių pritaikymo galimybės, pateikiama pasirinkto laikotarpio renginių pasiūla, analizuojami anketinio tyrimo rezultatai.
This work analyzes the possibilities of organizing events in Gargždai public space, and recreational activities which are carried out. There is a problem set in the introduction. The crux the problem is to raise the question of public space recovery, and there is an investigation made to find out if the central part city and other public spaces match their purpose, are visited and used residents. The methods of inquiry are primary and secondary sources overview, photo making, observation, interviews, questionnaires. The first part discusses the issues of events organization in public space. There is the consideration about the concept of public space by different authors, also the typology and features of public spaces. It is getting acquainted with the laws and strategic documents to organize events in the city public spaces. There is look at the activities of recreational opportunities and events in Lithuania. The second part presents the analysis of Gargždai public spaces current situation. There is a description of Gargždai public spaces, history of their origin and current situation. There is the Analysis of urban public spaces for application, also the events of the particular period of time presented. Self – questionnaire survey are given. In the end of the work there are conclusions given. The urban public spaces in the city have all the conditions for residents and visitors to use them for different purposes. The most problematic are the green areas in Gargždai public spaces. The valley of Minija and the river shores, the Old (Manor) Park, as well as the quarries are in a deplorable condition, waiting for changes and reconstructions. Cultural events have their positive impact on the city‘s image , it stimulates urban development, attracts visitors and investment, but it is noticed that Gargždai has organized a small amount of public events.
