Abstract (en)
The article deals with the percutaneous drainage treatment of abdominal abscesses. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the results of sonoscopicaly guided percutaneous drainage treatment (SGPD) of abdominal abscess in Klaipeda Seamans Hosipital during the past 10 years and the survey of literature data. SGPD operations was sucessful in 93,5 %. Complications occured among four patients (6,5 %). Conclusions: the sonoscopicaly guided percutaneous drainage is a suitable treatment for abdominal abscesses.
