Tendencies of parents and teachers influence on upbringing altruism among youths

The object of research – to define tendencies of parents and teachers that infuence the upbringing of altruistic features among the youth. Assignments of research – to educe elements of conception of altruism and upbringing of the youth and to define tendencies of parents and teachers influence on upbringing altruistic features among the youth. Methods of research – analysis, comparison, interview, written inquiry, synthesis. 30 youngsters (73 % girls and 27 % boys) in Klaipeda assisted in research answering questions about their parents’ and teachers’ influence on upbringing their altruistic features. Influence on parents and teachers on cultivation of altruistic features among the youths are not strong, because it was discovered that almost half of interviewed elder adolescents did not know the meaning of altruism. Whereas, altruistic activity of a person depends directly on correct understanding of altruism, teachers should speak more about altruism especially during classes of ethics and religion. Discovered tendencies that majority of youngsters experience satisfaction when receiving care from their teachers. There was also discovered the same correlation of parents and teachers influence tendencies on cultivation of altruistic features among the youth.
