Abstract (en)

The article deals with the first two periods of development of musical education in Lithuania: 1) pre-institutional, 2) from the introduction of Christianity and the appearance of first schools in Lithuania until the Reformation. Th attempt is made to disclose the sources of musical education in Lithuania through the analysis of the peculiarities of the pre-institutional ethnic musical and the European Christian pedagogy.
