The article deals with formal organisations or bureaucratic (hierarchical) organisations. This paper analizes the origins, functions and disfunctions of formal organisations, picturing out the dark and the light sides of the fenomenon. It is an attempt to find the optimisation of bureaucracy and to propose an ideal model of a contemporary organization.
