The aim of the study was to establish the prevalence of drug abuse among young people, as frequent visitors of clubs/ disco clubs, and to identify attitudes of young people to preventive measures in disco clubs. The anonymous survey was conducted in 2004 (n= 912) and in 2008 (n=126). The study results showed as, in 2004, the students, as frequent visitors of clubs and discos, have indicated that in the club, most of them were offered to use/to try drugs, such as cannabis products, “club” drugs (hetero tablets, powders, stickers), and injection drugs. These drugs attempted respectively- 56.5 %., 32.0 %, and 5.3 % respondents. The students, who are frequent clubs visitors, have many friends – drug users. In 2008, 73.0 % respondents (the first year students) supported idea, as club staff and security staff could play an important role in preventive work in clubs and discos. Drug usage in clubs and discos could be solved by involvement of competent, responsible and incorruptible staff in the entertainment places. 27 % respondents agreed as the frequent police visits to night entertainment places are effective preventive measure. They proposed a number of measures in the night entertainment places (more video cameras, special training for police officers, how to recognize drug abusing person, and the lectures for parents of young people).
