Abstract (en)
In 2006 the underwater survey continued in the shallows between Pilis and Briedžiai Islands in Lake Platelių (Plungė Dist.) in an area closer to Briedžiai Island. In 2005, 4 groups of stones were distinguished and a situation plan made of them. In 2006, stone group 3 was precisely measured and a survey photo- and video record made of them underwater. The underwater measurements were made in 30 grids of 16 m2 each, a total area of 480 m2. A total of over 400 stones were recorded in this group. In the opinion of geologists, the arrangement of the stones in stone group 3 is not natural and is very similar to the work of human hands. No archaeological finds were discovered during the survey.
