Problems of harmonious society in the context of sustainable development

Abstract

The article analyzes the problem of sustainable development, its conception, and the possibility for the community to participate in the process of problem solution. The issue of sustainable development has so far been merely a subject of scientific discussion; the research focused on the field of search for the possibilities of sustainable development by combining the scale of economic development and the principles of maintaining the ecological balance. However, in the context of the research into sustainable development, the significance and the meaning of harmonious society and the human and social factors have not been properly evaluated or sufficiently discussed. The aspiration for harmonious and intellectual society, aware of the significance of the relationship of production and ecology, has to be integrated into the content and conception of the programmes of civic and patriotic education.
