Intensification of aquatic transport, opening of new waterways, essential environmental changes in drainage basins of major rivers flowing into the Baltic and Black Seas increase threat of intercontinental transfer of alien species. The aim of this paper is to overview existing and potential invasion corridors between the Baltic and Black Seas, partly including also the Caspian region.
