Abstract (en)
The article deals with the human factors in relation to maritime casualities and accidents. The article considers key factors that are widely held to mostly affect human activity at sea navigation and addresses the impacts they produce in emergency situations. Causes and reasons of maritime accidents are shown through the issue of human factors as essential to navigation safety. Authors present main requirements and rules that every navigator must comply with as well as emphasize the importance of due professional training of seafarers.
