Abstract (en)
The article deals with the explorations in Bartkūnai hill-fort settlement. The cultural layer of the hill-fort settlement of 10-30 cm thick was detected only in the western part of the surveyed territory, approximately in the 300x30 m area alongside the irrigation channel (a former stream) eastwards from it. During the explorations sherds of handmade pottery with brushed, rusticated and plain surface, fragments of iron smelting slag, dross and burnt clay daub were found.
