The aim of these investigations was clarifying the peculiarities of fracture of different fibre reinforced concrete (FRC) under bending load. It was proven that in concrete beams reinforced with an insignificant quantity (about 20 kg/m³ of various steel fibres and 2-8 kg/m³ of polypropylene fibres) fragile character of fracture changes over quasi-plastic (ductile) character of fracture. These changes are expressed by the character of bending load-deflection strain curves and by an increase in FRC fracture energy G'F. Changes in the process of strain and fracture and properties of concrete reinforced with fibres are most distinctly revealed in the concrete with the ductile polypropylene fibres.
