Magistro baigiamajame darbe analizuojama bei aprašoma Klaipėdos m. savivaldybės sporto renginių ir infrastruktūros geografija. Darbo teorinėje dalyje pagal temą nagrinėjama ankstesnių tyrimų analizė, įstatyminės bazės, mokslinės autorių publikacijos. Pasinaudojus užsienio literatūra, pateikiamos pagrindinės sporto geografijos apibrėžimai sąvokos bei sporto renginių tipologija. Aprašomi moksliniame darbe panaudoti darbo metodai. Atlikto tyrimo dalyje, nagrinėjama svarbiausių Klaipėdos sporto objektų išsidėstymas mieste, išskiriamos svarbiausios miesto zonos, kuriose bazuojasi šias sporto paslaugas teikiantys objektai. Lyginimo metodu stebime, sportuojančių asmenų bei sporto įstaigų pokytį penkerių metų laikotarpyje. Stebėjimo metu atliktas sporto infrastruktūros objektų – arenų, sporto salių, stadionų, dviračių takų fotofiksacija, tam jog darbe būtų galima perteikti vizualinę sporto objektų išvaizdą Pagal surinktą sporto objektų duomenų bazę, sudaryti teminiai žemėlapiai, kuriais nurodomi ne tik infrastruktūros objektų taškai, bet ir tankumas pagal įstaigų skaičių, o taip pat gatvių tinklą. Darbe atliktas kiekybinis tyrimas, kuriuo siekta suvokti klaipėdiečių požiūrį į sporto infrastruktūros ir renginių situaciją. Iš respondedntų atsakymų suformuotas kokybinio tyrimo elementas. Manau, jog tema yra aktuali, kadangi iki šiol nėra atlikta daug tyrimų apie sportą per geografinį pjūvį.
This master 's thesis analyzes and describes the city’s of Klaipeda municipality geography of sports events and infrastructure. The theoretical part of the work examines the analysis of previous research, legal bases and scientific publications of the authors according to the topic. The main definitions of sports geography, concepts and typology of sports events are presented using foreign literature as a source. The working methods used in the scientific work are described. In the part of the research, the most important sports facility locations are discussed, as well as the most important city zones and the main facilities providing these sports services are singled out in city of Klaipeda. By using comparison methods, we look at the changes of athletes and sports institutions over a period of five years. During the observation of sports infrastructure objects - photo fixations of arenas, sports halls, stadiums, bicycle paths were taken in order to convey the visual appearance. According to the database of collected sports objects, the thematic maps were created, to indicate not only the points of infrastructure objects, but also the densities according to the number of institutions, as well as the street network. A quantitative study has been carried which aims to understand the attitude of Klaipeda residents to the sports infrastructure and the situation of events. A qualitative research element was formed from the responses. I think the topic is relevant because so far not much research has been done on sport across a geographical cross-section.
