Darbą sudaro 3 pagrindiniai skyriai su poskyriais. Pirmajame skyriuje yra aptariama geopolitinė Vidurio ir Rytų Europos (VRE) valstybių situacija XXI a., kuri keitėsi žlugus Sovietų Sąjungai. Antrame skyriuje analizuojama Lietuvos, Lenkijos ir Vengrijos nacionalinio saugumo strategijų kaita, kai šalys tapo NATO ir ES narėmis. Trečiame skyriuje yra įvardijamos Lietuvos, Lenkijos ir Vengrijos nacionaliniam saugumui kylančios grėsmės ir iššūkiai.
The work consists of 3 main sections with subsections. The first chapter discusses the geopolitical situation of the Central and Eastern European (CEE) states in the 21st century, which changed after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The second chapter analyzes the change in the national security strategies of Lithuania, Poland and Hungary when the countries became members of NATO and the EU. The third chapter identifies threats and challenges to the national security of Lithuania, Poland and Hungary.
